The highly regarded hair is used for all types of winging material, tails on flies, etc. The hair is approximatly 1" to 1.5" long with a great shine. The underfur varies from a cream color to a mahogany brown and is very desirable for dubbing.

Excellent for mice patterns. Very light weight. Traditionally a deer hair substitute in spun bodies, although slightly shorter, it still flares well. Now pupular for wings - with similar qualities to CDC. It's soft, water resistant hair that floats like a cork, but is durable too.

Obtained legally. A must for traditional tyers. Prime glossy hair for winging. The basic winging material for hairwing salmon flies and streamers. The dense underfur makes good coarse dubbing.

Prime, natural colors on the skin. One of the more useful furs for salmon flies and streamers. Try these on clousers.
Gray Fox - The guard hairs are black tipped with creamy white bars and a dark base. This distinctive marking makes for a striking wing. The underfur is a grey/tan mix, useful on nymphs and salmon fly bodies such as the Gray Rat.
