Here at Beulah Fly Rods, we design each rod taper individually, matching the challenges, conditions and species encountered on fly fishing expeditions. No where is that more evident than in salt water fly fishing, where our Blue Water series shines.

Fishing inshore, off shore or flats can require very different techniques as well as gear. Why should the same rod taper apply equally just by changing the wt size? Would a Crazy Charlie in size 6/0 work for sailfish? Well maybe, but probably not your first choice.

The Beulah Blue Water Series rods share a look and a name, but each is specifically designed to perform to the challenges and environments the rod was built for. In the case of a hungry hotel room ceiling fan or a misguided stumble on the flats boat, Beulah Fly Rods provides a spare tip for each Blue Water rod.

While these rods will be used typically in a deep Saltwater environment, a fishing application that just about NO fly rod was designed for, these rods are capable of casting deep (really deep) into the backing. The Beulah Blue Water 7/8 was designed with stealth and power in mind. With the ability to quietly drop a Crazy Charlie accurately at 20 or 80 feet, this rod also has the power to turn a permit blazing for deep water. Bais ply roll up construction and a progressive taper finishing in a fine tip give this rod power trough out the rod and snappy action for casting lazers like loops with one back cast. The 7/8 Blue Water rod comes with salt resistant anodized reel seat and chrome over stainless snake guides, a rinse at the end of the day will maintain the rod for many years of adventure. The spare tip will keep you fishing in the case of a hungry hotel room ceiling fan or a misguided stumble on the flats boat.

Meet the Tarpon tamer. This rod will make the silver king bow to you! This is a 13/15 wt that you can cast and cast far, yet has the fighting power of any "stick" out there. After fishing the Blue Water series in Baja I found myself going to this rod more and more to cut fighting time in half but still have the ability to reach shy fish. Originally designed to battle bluefin, 80 plus tarpon and billfish , the rod comes equipped with a removable butt cap that covers an aluminum fighting gimble. The 13/15's ability to cast 100ft of line makes this the perfect choice for giant Jacks, trevally and roosterfish.
