Nautilus Spey Reels

The Nautilus 12 family of reels was specifically built to address the needs of Spey casters and two-handers. Furthermore, the sealed Nautilus CCF Disc Brake System will prevent water, dirt or sand from contaminating the drag surface, and will protect the most delicate tippets to increase the odds of landing the fish of a lifetime. New for 2006, the Nautilus 12T bridges the gap for Spey fishermen who need a somewhat smaller reel than the Nautilus 12S yet whose needs are not quite met by the Nautilus 12. Slightly narrower in diameter and width than the Nautilus 12S, the Nautilus 12T is the perfect match for the longer 7 to 12 weight Spey rods and lines.

Powered by the larger version of the Nautilus CCF Disc Brake System™, the 12T and 12S are ideally suited for either fighting the largest big game species or Spey fishing the longest bellied lines available in the market today.

When chasing big fish, the retrieval rate of the12T and 12S will minimize the chance of a slack line, allowing you to keep constant pressure on big fish, reducing the time it takes to land a fish and increasing the odds of a successful release.
