The original Swift was a favourite of professional fly fishermen. Men like Stuart Crofts and Dave Parker swore by the hard-working qualities of one of the toughest reels we'd ever made. The Swift MkII improves on the original - it's now even tougher, with a 4 millimetre screw reel seat for increased rigidity and a more durable metal handle.

Internally, the legendary drag system has been re-examined, overhauled and improved. As Stuart Croft says, “It has a drag that’s spot on. It’s precise and I trust it absolutely - even though it spends more time in the water than out.” Also new for 2008 is the 900 size. This is a three to five weight reel that brings Swift performance to the light line angler.
