RE Tying classes:
The flies that will be taught in these class were carefully selected to introduce you to a wide variety of fly tying techniques used in tying some of the most successful patterns in the Northeast. Flies that you can fish with confidence. They will impress you, your friends, and most importantly the fish. You will receive step-by-step tying instructions along with how to choose and use all necessary tools and materials. You will also learn why each fly pattern was chosen, what it represents to the fish, what fish it is used for, and how to use it.

A special effort has been made to keep your materials expenditure to a minimum. Therefore, you will see that most of the flies share many of the same materials. There are no materials “for this fly only.” As your tying experience grows, you will accumulate plenty of tying “stuff”.

Buying Tying Materials and Equipment Here, you have to put your trust in someone. And we are happy to help you at the Bear’s Den, no matter what your budget. Our best suggestion is to buy the best equipment and materials that your budget will allow as much of it will be used over and over.
