Great Bay X Series |
| Great Bay Rod Company is proud to introduce the X Series of rods for fly fishermen. Each rod is 6'9" and was developed through the help of fellow fly fishers. The X Series of rods comprise two different actions, a medium action series, the EMGX models and a faster action Series, The MSRX models. Both models offer high end aluminum reel seats with wood inserts and come with a rod bag, aluminum rod tube, and lifetime original owner warranty.
The MSRX Series is a medium/fast action rod that is capable of handling large trout and bass as well as smaller species of fish. Designed with a slightly stiffer butt section and a soft tip it allows short rod enthusiasts to savor the ease of casting a shorter rod yet not overload a rod with a higher line weight.
The MSRX Series features high quality cork grips, uplocking reel seat with wood insert and high quality snake guides. These rods are wrapped on a gloss brown blank with ruby red thread wraps and gold trim. A rod one will cherish for a long time.
The EMGX Series is a medium action fly rod with a wonderful classic dry fly action that allows an angler to make delicate casts with precision. Short rod afficianados will truly enjoy the quick loading, soft feeling series for both lake and stream fishing.
