Fly of the Month by Dave Skok - Bendback Standard Tricolor

Never go to the tropics without a few Bendbacks - they are invaluable flies for snook, redfish, tarpon and any kind of jack you might encounter. Bendbacks are really great as they represent the perfect medium between "weedless" and "fishless" and are usually the best choice for pitching into mangroves. Try the white-and-brown version if the water is clear and the "blurple" when things get muddy. These are tied on the super-sharp (and super-rare) Tiemco 411S bendback hook. A chunky amount of bucktail, mixed flashes and some blue-dyed peacock herl make the dressing. They're finished with holographic eyes and a coat of epoxy.
