Heading to the Keys (or just about anywhere else) for tarpon? Then you should grab a couple of these and rig them up on a stretch of 60-pound Fluorocarbon. This small (2.5"), fluffy tarpon fly is a good one for tough oceanside fish. Tied on a 1/0 Gamakatsu SL-12 with a sparse Finn raccoon and marabou tail with a chartreuse-grizzly hackle tip on each side. The collar is spun from a chartreuse saddle hackle and just a couple turns of tip marabou. The tail is "posted" with thread and glue past the bend to eliminate fouling.
