From Dave: The most prevalent baitfish in our nearshore waters the past few summers and falls have definitely been the immature menhaden or bunker. My friend, Jaime Boyle, turned me on to this Mushy variation using Angler’s Choice PolyBear that ended up being murderous on all species (particularly bluefin & albies) when fish rushed through thick schools of peanut bunker. This fly utilizes the same Super Hair / Softex spine found in almost all of the other Mushmouth family members to produce a foul-free fly.
