The Echo2 96/10 #8 features two tips of different lengths, allowing the rod to switch between a 96 and 10. What was going on in Tim Rajeffs mind when he decided to create a rod with two different length tips? Tim wanted to give people looking for more distance and or people who are sitting close to the water more ways to skin a cat. On days where there is limited wind you can use the longer tip to take full advantage of the line lifting and distance that a 10' rod delivers. When the wind gets nasty and waving 10' rods in the wind is not your cup of tea (beer) switch tips and use the shorter one.
