The 9'0" 4 piece flyrods are available in 8wt, 9wt and 10wt. The fighting butts are trimmed with either EVA black foam for comfort or a composite cork for durability and are offered in 3 different sizes.
Our focus is and has been on building a guides rod. As a fishing guide I needed a high performance tool that was well built and performed day in and day out with limited failure. We source the finest components that are as light and capable for the duty of the finished rod. The flyrods are built with banks from Northfork Composites which is a Gary Loomis owned company. If you are not familiar with his work it can be said that he is responsible in many ways for the modern fishing rod. The blanks are crisp and come in a beautiful raw sanded finish.
The full wells grip is 7 inches long and made from a very high quality cork from Portugal. The reel seat is black anodized aluminum and the fighting butt is trimmed with black EVA foam for comfort while fighting fish. Both the reel seat and the fighting butt are capable, light and strong. The guides are made by REC Components, Recoil titanium Cerecoil guides make up the first two stripping guides and either single foot or doublefoot recoil titanium running guides through the top are used depending on the model of the rod. All of the components are proudly made in the USA and the rods are built in Duxbury Massachusetts.
Our aim is to provide fishing rods that the accomplished, well rounded, well traveled angler would be pleased to fish with. You can expect components of the highest quality, and rod designs that are as functional as they are aesthetically pleasing. If you are new to the sport we offer gear that will not only feel great in your hand, but will be forgiving. Often we find that there is too much to choose from. Our simplistic approach to rod design and descriptions should make the decision process appealing.
